2016, Spanien 19C, Aarhus Sculpture installation and artist book.
The installation includes different types of soil collected from areas on Sydhavnen in Aarhus. Sydhavnen arose in the early 1900s as part of the industrial development. Today, many of the old factories are gone, but Sydhavnen is still an area where industry and business thrive.
The work's materials and the use of soil forces us to relate to the concrete context and the surroundings we find ourselves in by creating a more intimate and personal space where the viewer can reflect on the detail.
